Do you want your analytical skills to make a genuine difference to how organisations understand and reduce their environmental impact? At Enistic, that's exactly what we do — and we're looking for an experienced Sustainability Consultant to join our specialist advisory team.

Founded in 2009 and based in Oxford, we help organisations across the public and private sectors measure, report, and manage their carbon emissions. Compliance sits at the heart of our work: many clients come to us facing regulatory reporting obligations, and we help them meet those requirements accurately and with confidence.

What you'll be doing

This is a primarily desk-based, analytical role. Most of your time will be spent on data analysis, modelling, and producing high-quality written reports and calculations. You'll:

• Lead complex sustainability and carbon reporting projects from brief to delivery
• Conduct detailed energy analysis and GHG emissions calculations for a range of clients
• Translate large datasets into meaningful insights and practical action plans
• Support clients in developing and progressing their sustainability strategies
• Occasionally carry out on-site energy audits at smaller client sites (a minor part of the role)
• Contribute to internal quality assurance and peer review of client deliverables

You'll take ownership of larger, more complex projects and help raise the bar for quality across the team.

What you'll bring

• At least 2 years' experience in a sustainability, carbon, or energy consultancy role
• Strong working knowledge of GHG reporting frameworks (GHG Protocol, Scope 1, 2 & 3)
• A proven ability to produce high-quality written reports and technical calculations
• Comfort working predominantly at a desk in an analytical, document-intensive role
• Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel or equivalent) and strong numerical literacy
• The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently

Nice to have: familiarity with SBTi target-setting, TCFD or IFRS S1 & S2 standards, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology, a relevant degree, professional membership (e.g. IEMA, CEnv), or experience with carbon accounting software platforms.

Requirements

Benefits

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 depending on experience
