How we handle your data
For people applying for a job through Draftr.
The company you are applying to decides who to hire and is the controller of your
personal data. Draftr provides the software they use to manage applications, and
processes your data on their instructions. If you want to exercise any of the rights
below, contact them — or reply to any email you have had about your application, and
it will reach them.
Where AI is used, and where it is not
We use AI to help review applications for this role. An AI assistant reads your application and scores it against the role criteria, and may invite you to an AI-led chat or a recorded AI Video Interview. AI never makes the final decision on your application — a person does. You can ask for a human review, ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at any time by replying to any email from us.
Concretely: an AI assistant reads your application and scores it against the
criteria set for the role. If the role includes an AI chat or a recorded video
interview, an AI assistant also scores those. Scoring is done from the text
of what you wrote or said — we do not analyse your face, your voice, your
accent, your tone or your body language, and we do not infer anything about you from
how you look or sound.
You can ask for a person to review any decision about your application at any time,
and you can ask us not to use the AI assessment at all. Just say so in a reply.
What we hold
- What you gave us: your name, contact details, and anything you wrote in the
application or a form.
- Your AI chat transcript, if the role included one.
- Your AI Video Interview recording and its transcript, if the role included one.
- The scores and written reasoning produced for your application, and the record of
decisions taken on it.
- Emails between you and the hiring team.
How long we keep it
- Video and audio recordings are deleted about
6 months after a decision is reached on your application.
- Transcripts, scores and correspondence are kept by the hiring
company for as long as they need them — typically to answer questions about the
decision, or to contact you about a future role if you agreed to that.
Your rights
- Ask what is held about you, and get a copy.
- Ask for it to be corrected, or deleted.
- Ask for a person to review a decision.
- Withdraw your application at any time.
- Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office
